Moonlight & Magic!

Well, here we are in November, and just like that, we're beginning to think about Christmas! (We can hear simultaneous cheers mixed in with some groans from the crowd.) It's a season with so many beautiful traditions... aaand can also bring some stress.

But one of our favourite things about the start of this season is Moonlight & Magic. It brings light into the darkness as the time changes and days feel much shorter. Some of us have been bringing our kids since they were little and remember seeing their faces, anxiously awaiting the lighting of the tree as our local Poet Laureate invited the crowd to sing, "I say deck the, you say halls!" With our community gathered around the Christmas tree, singing in unison, there's an undeniable feeling of being in an episode of Gilmore Girls.

And just as we've watched our kids grow over the years, we've watched this event grow into something bigger and more beautiful as well. From face art to fire dancing (something our very own Lisa has participated in more than once!), food trucks to friends, and so many wonderful things in between, this event is something special.

So this year we're SO excited to be participating by creating a walkable Winter Spiral, a beautiful tradition symbolizing the journey into the darker season and the anticipation of returning light. The spiral will be shaped with cedar boughs donated by Baybrook Landscaping and lined with candles, where people can walk into and out of the spiral at their own pace, evoking feelings of peace and shared hope for a brighter future. To complete the mood, we'll be playing some lovely music and offering delicious hot beverages to help people feel cozy and warm.

Our amazing Plantish gift basket up for grabs!

Of course we'll have a prize draw, because well... who doesn't love prizes? This year's prize is a stunning box of zero waste cleaning goodies from Plantish. It's got all kinds of beautiful brushes, sponges, Swedish sponge cloths, scrubbers, soaps and their oh-so-clever dual layer bamboo soap dish. All you have to do is pop in between 5-7pm on Friday, November 14th, and fill out a ballot. This box is valued at over $200, and we're very excited to give it away to a lucky winner!

Bring your family & friends down and come celebrate with us on November 14th!
